In 1691 (yes, 1691) a delicious dessert was created and now is hands down one of my favourite desserts out there.
After ordering it million times, I finally decided it was time to take matters into my own hands.
A delicious recipe we created that my family has approved- APPROVED.

Georgia’s Crème Brûlée
-6 egg yolks
-1/2 cup (150g) granulated sugar, divided
-2 cups heavy cream or heavy whipping cream
-1 tsp pure vanilla extract
-pinch of salt
-2 additional tbsp of sugar
-4 ramekins
-kitchen torch
*Preheat oven to 375 degrees, boil some water and heat your cream in a medium saucepan until it started to bubble.
*In the meantime whisk egg yolks,sugar and vanilla extract until fluffy and thick.
*When combined and smooth poor into your ramekins and place in a baking dish with about 1 inch boiling water.
*Cook for 20-25 minutes, remove from oven and cool. Place in fridge and cool overnight.
*When ready to serve sprinkles your 2 tbsp of sugar and use and kitchen torch to caramelize.
