Come Visit Orlando With Us!
“I can’t wait!” Thats the reaction I like to hear form my little guys and that’s exactly what I heard on our most recent trip to Florida. Whether you’re travelling over the March break, a weekend getaway or a family vacation for a couple weeks Florida has you covered. There are so many places to visit in the state of Florida, but for this post I want to focus on Orlando. Orlando is the most visited destination in the United States and theme park capital pf the word. Its home of seven of the worlds top theme parks, as well as water parks, endless activities and that’s just a sneak peak.
Upon arrival in Orlando we had the privilege of staying in a two bedroom suite at the Lake Buena Vista Report Village and Spa. The room was complete with laundry a kitchenette and complete with a little grocery store on site for all our family needs, and outlet shopping for a little retail therapy if needed.. For the boys, an amazing shipwreck themed swimming pool complete with cannons, a water slide, jacuzzi-style hot tubs, waterfalls and of course pool side loungers and a nearby bar. To be honest, the boys could have just stayed at the pool for the whole time, but of course activities are a must when going away.
Museum of Illusions
Our first experience was the Museum of Illusions which consists of fascinating illusions which will trick you, confuse you, entertain you and most of all educate you. The boys had a blast taking extra ordinary photos, looking at optical illusions and trying to figure out what was real and what wasn’t. ON your visit be sure to take a walk across the bridge in the spinning room and good luck!
Pirates Cove Adventure Golf
Our second experience was another favourite for the whole family, Pirates Cove Adventure Golf is just like going back in time. Imagine entering and 18th century pirate world filled with sunken ships, cascading waterfalls, pirate dungeons, and of course palm trees and treasure to be found. There are two mini golf course that can be played separately or together – Captain’s Course and Blackbeard’s Challenge and both contain enchanting pirate lore and of course photo ops everywhere you go. Be sure to check it out!
Crayola Experience
Lastly, we all took a little trip to the Florida Mall to check out the Crayola Experience and it was a hit! With more than 70,000 square feet of fun there is no shortage of things to keep the whole family busy. From wrapping your own customized crayon to learning how crayons are made in a live manufacturing show the kids loved every minute. They even got to melt some crayons and make their own designs to take home and of course they have a gift shop with all the Crayola stuffies, accessories, colouring books and whenever else you little ones decide they might want.
Without a doubt, we had a blast with just a couple days in Orlando and we were only able to scratch the surface of what it offers! For the kids, attractions and experiences are plenty and even for adults the shopping, restaurants and theme parks are out of this world. So as you sit back and plan that et vacation, be sure to add Orlando on you list of places to go. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
