There are a ton of things as women we fear… one of my biggest fears is getting a bikini wax. Honestly, the thought of the pain I’m about to go through makes me sweat, shake and try to come up with any excuse not to go. Well, I’ve boiled it down to the experience. I have found a place, that even though it doesn’t take away the pain – gives you a great time and keeps you coming back for more. The ten spot.
Going in, the belief of these beauty bars is to make you feel like a 10… because at the end of the day we all are just that, but just need to feel like it. It’s a beauty bar with a menu that ranges from waxes, to manis and pedis.
My go to location is close to home at Shops at Don Mills in Toronto. The minute I walk in for my brazilly you are welcomed by amazing staff, a bright white clean environment and products all around making you want all the things!
Are you there a bit early?! No problem because why not have a glass of wine or a fresh cider to give you some liquid courage. Again it’s the little things and makes you relax and the experience better.
Another little thing that always makes a waxing appointment better is laughter. I know right? Where are you going to find humour in getting a wax?! Well in each waxing room are little tvs playing episodes of friends— if Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey can’t make you laugh then I’ve got nothing for you.
While walking to your waxing room, after your drink, you notice a wall full of every colour and shade of nail polish colours out there. The temptation of a little more self pampering will get the best of you wanting another service when you come out or wanting to come back for more!!
Honestly speaking ladies when you walk out of the ten spot you really do feel like a 10. Everything they stand for as a company is achieved and I’m sure they rarely have people leaving there upset and not satisfied with the services they provide. So do yourself a favour, find the nearest ten spot location to you and whether it’s a wax of any sort or a mani/ pedi… go because you won’t be sorry.
