Georgia’s Spooky Ground Chicken Stuffed Peppers

You guys all know how much I love Maple Leaf Foods and you all know how much I am obsessed with Halloween. So what do you get when you mix those two together?  Think creative…

It’s nice to do something fun and festive with your day to day meals for you and your family! So why not add a little Halloween fun this time of year? We always stick with Maple Leaf for our meats, not only becausetheir food is made with real, simple or natural ingredients, but because it’s a brand I can trust and its delicious and that’s exactly what I want for my family!

So I suggest all you Moms out there pour yourself a full glass of wine because we all deserve wine and make your family a little Halloween treat for dinner sometime soon.  I decided to make Spooky stuffed peppers and they were a hit.

Georgia’s Spooky Ground Chicken Stuffed Peppers

-maple leaf ground chicken

-6 peppers (the orange ones really give that pumpkin vibe)

-2 cups uncooked white rice

-1 cup tomato sauce

-1/2 tsp onion powder

-1/2 tsp garlic powder

-2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

-salt and pepper

-1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning

Directions:

-Preheat oven to 350.

-While oven is heating up cut tops off the peppers and clean out the insides. Carefully cut out to two triangles for the pumpkin faces eyes and nose, while carefully cutting out a smile.

-Cook one cup rice (add equal amount of water, one tsp butter and salt)

-While rice is cooking, brown Maple Leaf ground chicken all the way through

-In a separate bowl add in ground chicken, cooked rice and all the ingredients above! Stir together

-Carefully take spoonfuls of mix and stuff the peppers

-Sprinkle tomato sauce at the bottom of the baking dish and place peppers upright in over.

-Bake with pepper lids on for 1 hour

-Then watch your families faces as they see what you made and get ready for a quiet dinner because they will be obsessed with the taste!

Remember the main focus in this recipe for me and my family is knowing everything that goes into our own and our families mouth! That’s why a key ingredient like Maple Leaf is so important!

Remember their foods have:

No artificial preservatives

No artificial flavours

No artificial colours

No artificial sweeteners

No animal by-products

Happy Halloween guys and hope I gave you not only an amazing recipe, but some knowledge about what I love to feed me little fam.
