Holidays with Furlani
You guys know by now when I’m cooking and trying new recipes that I’m at my happiest.
And what’s the secret to amazing recipes?
Using brands that you love.
When it comes to Furlani, it’s honestly a staple at our house…I mean have you had better Garlic Toast?
So I decided to take a family favourite product and add a little holiday charm to it.
Not to mention how much more delicious Furlani Garlic Toast makes it. #cookinghack
Let’s start with the boys FAVOURITE:
Garlic Texas Toast Cheese and Bacon Reindeerwich!
– 8 Slices Furlani Garlic Texas Toast
– Grated Mozzarella
– Bacon (optional)
– Spring Mix
– Tomatoes
– Red Onion
– Red Pepper Aioli (or any red pepper spread)
Garnish:
– Mini Tomatoes
– Olives
– Pretzels
– Edible eyes
How To Make:
1.) cook up your bacon and set aside. (Optional)
2.) place your Garlic Texas Toast on baking sheet and bake at 425 for apx. 5 minutes! (Flipping over in between).
3.) take two pieces of your Garlic Texas Toast, spread red pepper aioli on one and mozzarella on the other!
4.) start layering, by adding spring mix, bacon, tomatoes, red onions and… more cheese.
5.) put the sandwich together and now to create your reindeer!
For Rudolph use a baby tomato and the other reindeer a black pitted olive cut in half. Use a toothpick to keep in place until eating.
6.) cut a pretzel in half for the antlers and eyes for well, the eyes 🙂
7.) enjoy!
The amount of freshness that the Garlic Texas Toast adds is amazing and to think this tasty sandwich takes no more then 10 minutes (5 for cooking) to make!
Holiday Texas Garlic Toast Stuffing
– 12 pieces of Furlani Garlic Toast
– 2 onions diced
– 5 celery stalks diced
– 2 cups of diced cooked turkey
– 2/3 cups butter
– 3 1/2 cups chicken broth
– 2 tsp poultry seasoning
– 1 tbsp fresh Rosemary (chopped)
– 1 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
– Salt and pepper to taste
How To Make:
1.) place your Garlic Texas Toast on baking sheet and bake at 425°F for apx. 5 minutes! (Flipping over in between).
2.) in the meantime start dicing your onion, celery, and turkey.
3.) remove your Garlic Texas Toast and lower your oven to 350°F
4.) on medium heat on a skillet melt your butter, while the butter is melting cut your Garlic Texas Toast in cubes and place in a large bowl.
5.) add your celery, onion, poultry seasoning, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper into the butter. Cook until tender anywhere from 8-10 minutes. Keep stirring so nothing burns.
6.) add onion mixture AND cooked turkey to your Garlic Texas Toast and slowly pour in your chicken broth tossing everything together.
7.) butter a casserole dish and place stuffing into it. Bake for 40 minutes covered and then 10 minutes uncovered.
8.) enjoy!
So just know that you can never go wrong with Furlani, and although it made my holidays that much easier and well tastier- there are amazing things you can make all year round.
