Mason and Asher’s Rainbow Spaghetti

Fun Food Project!!

It’s Monday, and another long week of quarantine coming our way.

We added some excitement by getting the boys involved and making… RAINBOW PASTA! I mean who doesn’t love pasta and who doesn’t love rainbows?

Mason and Asher’s Rainbow Spaghetti

What You Need:

  • Spaghetti
  • 4 Sandwich Bags (or more depending on how many colours you are doing).
  • Food Colouring (4 Colours)
  • Water
  • Butter
  • Parmesan Cheese for Garnish

1.) Cook your spaghetti, drain and leave a bit of spaghetti water in the pot. Allow to cool for about 7 minutes.

2.) Fill sandwich bags with spaghetti noodles, 2 1/2 tbsp water and 8 drops of food colouring. (We did blue, red, yellow and green).

3.) Close the bag, hand it to your minis and let them shake it until the spaghetti is coloured.

4.) Remove each colour from the bag one by one running it under cold water to remove any food colouring that may not have stuck

5.) Mix the pasta together in a large bowl. The boys love butter so we melt some butter in a saucepan and added the cooled Rainbow Pasta. Reheat the pasta on low until warmed then place all the

6.) Top with Parmesan.

Only issue we have now is the boys always wanting rainbow spaghetti!

Enjoy and can’t wait to see your spaghetti pasta creations!
