New York City with Kids- Aliz Hotel Times Square Edition
If you know me by now you know mine and Luke’s favourite places to be is New York City! Throughout our relationship NYC has been our go to place to be when wanted to get away for a weekend or a break from reality! We’ve gone for New Years Eve, I got engaged there, for long weekends, shopping whatever excuse there is, I always want to go back. This past trip was a slightly different time than any other. Why? Well, we had two members of our family come along who have never been, Mason and Asher. I couldn’t be more excited to have our first family trip, all on our own, at the city I love, The Big Apple!
One of our first main decisions is where do we stay thats close to everything and most importantly gorgeous all while being family friendly? Luckily for us we found a boutique hotel right where we always stay in Times Square. Aliz Hotel Times Square was such a great hotel from when we walked into the door until we almost decided to stay an extra night, in case our flight was cancelled from the snowstorm coming our way! As soon as you walk into the hotel the lobby and bar area is my kind of scene! Its luxurious and chic! The staff all welcomed us and Mason and Asher were a hit with everyone. I am still dreaming about the chandelier in the lobby, not to mention I must add the bar in the lobby has the best rum and cokes EVER!
Our room was a dream. It was clean, comfortable, and the view of the city was second to none! For a boutique hotel we were able to bring our two minis, share a room and have a blast all together. Of course I took advantage of the lobby bar and the boys were able to explore as well. One of the most amazing parts of the hotel is the two story roof top lounge ‘Dear Irving on Hudson.’ With such an amazing space, with an amazing 360 view of the entire Manhattan skyline, this lounge is hard to leave! I could’ve spend all our time here, but I had to show our boys the city as well!
Staying at a hotel like the Aliz Hotel Times Square is important not only because its comfortable, gorgous, has everything you need, but the location is key. For us we were able to walk to Times Square, Central Park and Rockefellar Centre where we took the boys to FAO Swartz, which turned into a two hour trip to a toy store. They loved it!
We had such a blast in NYC, I couldn’t have imagined I would have had a much fun as we did, bringing our two little minis to such a big city, hoping from taxi to taxi and experiencing all these firsts for our family! This was one of my favourite trips to NYC and it all stared with being able to walk into a perfect hotel, let the boys have a nap in a perfect boutique room and enjoying a glass of wine with a perfect view of the perfect city.
I’ll see you soon NYC and Ill see you soon Aliz Hotel Times Square. Thanks for everything!
