Our Family Trip to Beaches Turks and Caicos
Wow, so it’s been a busy summer but let me tell you about a family’s paradise on Earth! Not too long ago our little family took the vacation of a lifetime to one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever been! Turks and Caicos. I knew once we had the opportunity to go that it would be a trip of a lifetime which could never be passed up. So we spent a week long all inclusive vacation at Beaches Turks and Caicos and I couldn’t be more happy with the entire trip, from beginning to end!
We arrived at Beaches and our room was a dream! When travelling with two small children who nap during the day it’s always a benefit that they have a separate room. We had an Italian Oceanview Family Suite with Kids Room, which was amazing! We could spend time in our room and the boys could watch tv and spend time in theirs. Also, having an ocean view is just the icing on the cake!
Our first day at the resort we got to tour different villages – Key West, French, Caribbean, Seaside and the Italian where we were. And most important, we took a look at the Pirates Island Waterpark for the boys! The resort is so big and there is so much to do within each village. Each village has its own restaurants and pools which are accessible to the entire resort!
From the first day on our days consisted of food, drinks and non stop fun in the sun. Whether it was on the beach, in the pool or the waterpark this little family was smiling from ear to ear.
Let’s start talking about the food on the resort. We ate at Arizonas Southwestern Cuisine, Barefoot by the Sea, The Cricketers Pub, Kimonos Oriental Cuisine, Schooners Seafood Grill, Bobby Dee’s, Bella Napoli Pizzeria, Dinos Pizzeria Italiana. Marios Italian Cuisine and our personal favourite Neptunes! Of course, we enjoyed the Waterpark Food Trucks, as well – Mr. Mac and Curls’n Swirls. Curls’n Swirls was a hit with the boys since they could eat ice cream or drink milkshakes all day long!
Our favourite restaurant was Neptune’s which is located in Key West Village. We went there for dinner a couple nights and their breakfast menu was out of this world! My favourite breakfast was the Avocado Toast and Lucas’s was the Shakshuka – we talk about those meals almost everyday
For lunches we would either get the boys some pizza from Dinos or Bella Napoli – one thing to note if getting pizza for lunch, there will be a wait. Typically, the wait at noon-ish for a couple pizzas is 30 minutes to an hour, so order early! Or get something from Mr. Mac Food Truck, which didn’t disappoint. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese and deep fried mac and cheese balls are a dream. With 21 international restaurants we weren’t able to get to them all but we tried to get to most.
As for activities and fun throughout the resort the boys were definitely kept busy. They were able to enjoy a character breakfast with all their favourite Sesame Street characters! Night Night Sleep Tight with Elmo! Elmo and his side kick came over to play hide and seek and read the boys a nice bedtime story. And even better they got a stuffed Elmo to sleep with! I would highly recommend this addition during your stay! We watch the Sesame Street Parade which was another hit with Mason and Asher! The fun was non stop.
During the days we went to the beach which might I add had were the clearest I’ve ever seen, the pools and Pirates Island which is full of waterslides, a lazy river and restaurants! We were sure to check out the glass bottom boat tour which was free and you just need to book 24 hours in advance.
I’d like to thank Beaches Turks and Caicos for such great hospitality. I think a return sometime is an absolute must!!
