Outfit of the Day #OOTD– obvii!

fashion1I woke up the other day feeling that I needed a whole new look and inspiration. Something that is going to work for me while almost 5 ½ months pregnant, yet, still be able to be carried out once this being is out. In search of a new fashion idol I decided that Ashlee Simpson and Nicole Richie would be just that. (That being said I will not be giving up BOWS, PINK AND SPARKLES—duhh)

The point of this look is something that could easily be pulled together, but still look adorable when I am going to Toronto’s hotspot for dinner after a full day of work. And even though it’s starting to slowly feel like spring, it’s definitely not tank top weather! Although I have seen quite a few folk that would disagree with me for sure.

I really like combat boots, and I feel like a chapeau (aka HAT) is the perfect finishing touch to any look, and just because some people feel like black and grey are boring safe colours to wear—they are wrong, its what you make of the outfit.

This dress is from AllSaints… one of my favourite stores on the planet. Their stuff is edgy, fun and the quality is unreal. Five years ago, I ran into the store for the first time in NYC, and they have made regular appearances in my closet ever since. There is a location at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto!

Boots- Oh these boots. Only Kate Spade would create these adorable Sabina combat boots and add a little bad ass leather bow at the back. I like to speak to them and let them know they were created just for me. I feel so comfortable in these and am not worried about how swollen my feet are going to be!fashion3

Every lady should invest in a great pair of combat boots…they will make any outfit you wear (does not work with lululemons though) look like a 10!

You can never go wrong with a black and white purse in your armoire… I got this guy from the Kate Spade outlet. Yes, of course so many people want what is currently in the store, but that is also a sure way to break the bank. So guess what? Outlets are awesome also! And I am proud to say I have enough items from there to count on my hands twice- TAKE THAT!fashion5

When Betsey Johnson closed down her stores, she took a piece of my heart with her. I bought 9 of her dresses… Yup, 9 poofy, sparkly, princess dresses because to this day there is nothing like them. That being said, her accessories at department stores like Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Hudson’s Bay all still carry her stuff and this is where I got these earrings from. They are large and bright enough to make a statement and add a little hint of colour to my all neutral look.fashion2

Lastly my arm candy, something simple and layered.fashion4

My dainty little pretzel that sits so perfectly on my wrist and my renegade cluster bracelet from Stella & Dot.
