World MasterCard Fashion Week. Day: 2
Mélissa Nepton….oh Mélissa Nepton how I heart you so.
Yesterday was an amazing 2nd day at World MasterCard Fashion week Toronto and I had the honour of watching the incredible SS15 collection by Mélissa. I have been keeping my eye on this talented designer since her 2013 Spring/Summer collection and, I must say, with each collection she just keeps getting better and better.
With her new collection making its entrance on the runway the first thing I thought to myself is how comfortable everything looks.That’s a big deal to a lot of women and I love the sporty feel that comes along with these pieces. The blue and peach tones really are the perfect combination of colour for next season and she uses the perfect amount of lines and textures to really add a little something to the look. I saw a lot of white as well, adding such a fun, fresh and clean look for any Spring or Summer day!
Mélissa Nepton is a Montreal based designer who’s classy ready to wear line is chic and absolute perfection. She had the honour of being cast in La Collection, Québec’s version of Project Runway (we all know how much we love ourselves some Project Runway) . Mélissa then debuted her first collection at Montreal’s Fashion Week in 2009, which blew everyone away.
Seeing her collection in person just clarified what I already knew… she has to be one of the top designers in Canada. Being featured in multiple magazines and having actresses wearing her looks at Cannes in 2012 she is killing it! Just in Toronto alone she is in 17 stores across the city, that I know of, and can’t imagine where she will be popping up next.
